Aunty Cheryl Penrith was a finalist 2023 for Wagga's Citizen of the Year off the back of her tireless work with the local Wiradjuri community.
Aunty Cheryl sits on countless committees and boards shaping the future of Wiradjuri and Wagga Wagga.
She also provides personal support and guidance to Wiradjuri people across the region, serving as a role model for many young residents.
Aunty Cheryl was apart of the brains and planning for Butterfly Dreaming. She volunteered her time to run the pilot with other female Elders to support First Nation young girls to feel connected and strong.
